Time really does fly. It was only a few weeks ago that I was still nervous about going to a new school and now here I am, two weeks into my new life. My new school is fantastic. I love the atmosphere as well as the friendly responses I have receieved. People just randomly come up and introduces themselves - it's great. At my previous school everyone was scared to approach the creepy new kid (most of the time). At least I am not the only new student, there is a whole bunch of us! I have befriended a few of them - all very interesting people. I consider them great new friends already.

School life at this new school is much different from what I am used to. The school is smack in the middle of the city (we're close to KFC! Tee hee) so there isn't a large empty space to build a school for 1000+ students. So the school is split up into different buildings. There are probably something like 10+ buildings - I swear! Anyway, we have to cross streets (a highway no less) and we have travel to get to class. It's exhausting, yet exciting at the same time. It gives you a feeling of freedom and I love it.

I now take Japanese. Writing Hiragana and Katakana is much easier than I originally thought. As long as you remember the order of the strokes it's easy and not messy at all! I haven't even tried to dive into the world of Kanji quite yet - but I'll learn that on the way. I have installed the language program that allows me to write in Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji on the computer. It's easy to use and a great way to practice. You also get a lot of online games that help you learn Hiragana. I enjoy class very much and my Japanese teacher (or sensei as I like to call her) is the most amazing person I have ever met. And she's from Japan! Even better! :) She talks Japanese to students - in other words when she greets me it's all in Japanese. I love it. It's another great way to practice and become comfortable with the language. My previous language teachers never did that. My Japanese class is a great group of people too. Even the boys are awesome. They are typical male, but they have respect that other boys I know seem to lack.

I also have to VCE subjects. I don't know what it is called in other countries or places (since VCE is for my state only) but it refers to the subjects that you choose for your last few years in High School...so subjects for year 11 and 12...and so on.  At my previous school, my year level didn't have access to VCE subjects at all, you had to wait until you graduate and continue on to Senior Secondary. My new school has VCE subjects open to my year level. I have VCE Drama and VCE Classical Studies. Classical Studies is one of my new favourite subjects - it's all about Ancient Greece, the arts and the wars. The other students in the class are all great too. Drama is also an exciting subject. My classmates are hilarious (we come up with some strange things) and my teachers are all amazing.

All in all, I am very happy with my new school. Especially the library! Aaaah, bookaholicism! Tee hee.

I am currently working on a new OC and I am seriously thinking of drawing her...I'll have to wait and see!
